“$199 round‑trip to Cancun, no hidden fees,” read the headline that stopped my scroll this morning.
Airline Group (ALG) launched its early Black Friday sale on November 1, offering nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Miami for $149 and a 45‑hour flash discount on transatlantic routes that drops fares to $299 round‑trip.
And the deal list doesn’t stop there—New York‑Chicago hops are $89, while Denver‑Seattle hops sit at a jaw‑dropping $69. Absolute steal.
Because the promo runs until November 15, you have a two‑week window to lock in seats before the price surge hits.
I booked this flight last week and the checkout process was painless—just pick a seat, add a carry‑on, and you’re set.
But remember, the ultra‑low fares only apply to basic economy; any add‑on like checked baggage or seat selection tacks on extra fees, so factor that into your budget.
In my experience, the best way to avoid surprise costs is to use a price‑tracking tool like Skyscanner or sign up for alerts from Scott’s Cheap Flights—they’ll ping you the moment a fare dips below your threshold.
“ALG’s early Black Friday offers are the deepest discounts we’ve seen this year, perfect for spontaneous getaways,” said travel analyst Maya Torres.
For a quick getaway, consider pairing an ALG flight with a budget stay in a downtown hostel—some rooms go for $15/night in Miami’s Little Havana district.
And if you’re heading to Los Angeles, snag the flight then swing by Universal Studios Hollywood – Must‑Do LA Attraction for a day of thrills without breaking the bank.
How to Maximize the Savings
- Book before November 10 to avoid the last‑minute price jump.
- Use a credit card that offers travel insurance on flights under $500.
- Travel mid‑week; Tuesdays and Wednesdays have the lowest ancillary fees.
The Bottom Line
ALG’s early Black Friday rollout gives budget travelers a rare chance to snap up sub‑$300 intercontinental tickets. The catch? Stick to basic economy, move fast, and double‑check baggage policies. Not worth the hype? Absolutely not—these are genuine savings.
